Jump Start Your Photography

10 tips I can do or at least consider would be going to the movies, shoot a sporting event, see an art show, shoot my family, shoot my favorite food, shoot at a family event, shoot in the dark and taking self portraits. Two other ones i can add would be reading an art magazine and listen to my favorite music.

Broad Museum Collection: Image Critique

I like this specific artwork because of how it stands out. I think that it looks like an old fashioned pop art work. I really like how the color stands out on the face, the pin and the red go well with the top of the eye being a lighter blue. The blue background also makes the black in the hair pop out more, this works well because of the darker bright colors like black and red.

Photography Job Hunting on Indeed

One job I’d be interested in would be a Social Media Specialist and it would require 3 years of Social Media Management. This job would be for Bellasposa Wedding & Photography for Rancho Cucamonga for full time. $21 a hour and I like the idea of being able to photograph other people in their happiest moments in life. I know it would be hard to capture the moment but I want to take that challenge. I also thing 21 an hour is better then minimum wage then ill be able to branch out and start my own thing. You would need Social Media Management: 3 years Marketing: 3 years to be able to qualify for this.

Review of 2 articles on Canon Lens Experience

Jim Wark is an Aerial Photographer, an airborne photographer makes images of the earth below. This shows how photographers will use this infinitely variable perspective to their photographic advantage. I think this is really inspiring because of the ways photographers will take things to their advantage to get such breath taking pictures. This is also an eye opener because with photos like this because we never look at what were standing on and were never in the position to see the floor like this. I think the determination to get a picture like this too is really cool.
Sasha Gitin is a food photographer whos been shooting ever since his father gave him a rangefinder camera when he was 7 years old. He does about 30% of his work in a 20 x 20′ studio with southwestern exposure, using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III whenever possible, singling out the camera’s superior color rendering and built-in HDR that allows him to shoot restaurant interiors with little or no supplementary lighting. I’ve always enjoyed the idea of taking a picture of food because of how easy it looks but hard too because of the different lighting and angles you need to get on the food.

Your Favorite Photo from 100 Most Influential List

Earthrise is a photograph of Earth and some of the Moon’s surface that was taken from lunar orbit by astronaut William Anders on December 24, 1968. During the Apollo 8 mission. Nature photographer Galen Rowell declared it “the most influential environmental”. I think this is proof of the existence of something more out there in the universe. With this image its proof that men went to the moon and were able to capture the spherical shape of the Earth. Now because of this picture there is proof that the Earth is not flat. But instead a round and spherical shape. Some people still deny the fact that this image was taken but I think this single image is revolutionary both in the photography world and in the interstellar area of learning. Once we get out there on the moon or even mars we’ll be able to take breathtaking pictures like these one day. This also shows the distance between the moon and Earth. Almost scary to look at because of the endless void of space created between the two.

Read and Reflect: Why Is Photography So Important

Photography to me is important because its proof that an event or something happened. It keeps memories safe and easily accessible. Without photography many things like in history would be lost or forgotten. But because we have the photography to back up the fact that it happened makes a camera really useful now. Especially when a camera so small is being carried around on the daily.
A second reason photography is important to me is because it inspires me. Many photos taken inspire any person, like a sport photographer might inspire someone to play that sport because of that photo they took. When taking pictures you never know how you can inspire someone else, like for example toy photography could inspire someone to also pursue that because of how cool it looks to see a storm trooper in a real life environment. Skate photography could inspire someone to start skating because of how high or how cool the tricks look on camera. The list goes on, photos can inspire a person in so many way.

Critique of Silver List Photographers

One photographer I want to talk about is Mikael Owunna. His work is very colorful and bright. One of my favorite ones are the colorful paint ones. They pop on the person and make a galaxy seem picture. The black background makes the person stand out with the bright colors on their body. The website layout is also very simple and easy to use. It shows his photography really well on the website.
Aaron Jones. I want to talk about this photographer because of the use of the collage photos. His use of the collage completes the image and makes sense. They all really stand out and make this newspaper feel to the images. The website is also very easy to use with the different works on the left side of the website. Its basic and to the point instead of flashy and confusing websites.

I think being a photographer would be a great job for a handful of reasons. One of them being that you are your own boss. You have the choice to charge how much you want for the type of work you are putting out. Free from the constraint of a corporate hierarchy. Another good reason would be that you can stretch out to other big ideas like switching between photography. You can be as universal as you want. Nobody can stop you from doing what you love during it, be as creative as you want with it too.

$10,000 B&H Photography Shopping Spree

For my camera of choice ill be getting the Sony alpha 1 for sports photography. Accompanied with this ill be using the cannon EF 24-70mm Lens. This is already going to set me at 8,397. For the lens extender ill be using the Cannon Extender RF 2x. This will come in handy when the action in the field or court happens away from me and also the fact that I cant get too close to the action without being a disturbance. Ill also be buying a Sony 120GB memory card to save all my pictures and transfer it to the computer or anything else I needed to transfer it into. Another accessory would be a cannon shoulder bag to carry around when taking photos of different sports. Another accessory I could buy is a monopod but I’m not sure if the camera I picked out would be compatible with the monopods available. This would help when I’m trying to stay in place for a picture, for example when the basketball players go for a jump shot and you get the exact moment they jump and hit the ball to either side.

Sony alpha 1: $6,498
Cannon EF 24-70mm lens: $1,899
Cannon extender RF 2x: $599
Cannon Shoulder Bag: $25
Sony 120GB Memory Card: $170

In total: $9,191
